Mirbek’s story

In 2010, Mirbek contacted with bad company, started stealing, after some time he was caught by the police and sent to orphanage at the age of 11. He’s an orphan, doesn’t have father, mother died when he was in the orphanage.

“I was 15 when I finished the institution and wanted to become a baker – cook. I like cooking, they gave me a place in the professional school, but study was difficult for me, there was nothing to eat, i didn’t have passport. At the same time with studies, I worked to eat and dress up. It used to happen that after working for a month, I was not paid a salary. I do not want to tell people that I’m a graduate of an orphanage, because their attitude towards me changes immediately, they start to suspect that I will steal something, do bad things, hide things, it’s so insulting that I really want to do something to them knowingly I was hated.”

At the moment, I work in fast food, I cook for other people.

It is encouraging to read about these young people and to see what efforts they have made to make something good out of their lives. We all need help to improve our lives. I remember reading about Rustam and it is encouraging to see how hard he has worked. I pray that he and all those who have had some contact with Oasis will be able to find the love God has for them and how they can be helped to do well.
