An ambitious and multidisciplinary project starts in Milan, with a view to the Vinciano 2019 year, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. Art, science and music, involving Italian and European children, are the key themes of the project that will serve to raise resources to help orphaned and abandoned children in various countries of the world, inspired by Leonardo.
The project is inspired by the Carano4Children Foundation, created in Brussels last March in memory of Luigi and Erika, two spouse aeronautical engineers who died prematurely, born as a mission of help and solidarity to abandoned childhood.
Under the patronage of the European Commission, on the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, of the Lombardy Region and the support of the De Agostini School, the Foundation is pleased to announce the beneficial concert “Italian Melodrama” which will be held on Tuesday 11 December 2018 at 19.00 at the Teatro Collegio San Carlo in Milan.
The concert is organized in collaboration with the social promotion association the Setticlavio of Milan, with the participation of the Mezzosoprano Valentina Volpe Andreazza, of the Scrollavezza quartet of Tomaso Valdinoci and of the harpist Donata Mattei. Will be performed the most famous opera arias and music composed by G. Verdi, G. Donizetti, W.A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, G. Puccini, G. Rossini.
The proceeds will be donated entirely to orphans or abandoned Kyrgyz people to start them up to adulthood and educate them through the study of the arts and sciences to overcome the post-traumatic stress caused by the loss of parents, in collaboration with the humanitarian organization Oasis Kyryzstan.
Admission is reserved and seats can be booked on the Carano4Children Foundation website at www.carano4children.org.
It is possible to benefit from tax breaks for donations of € 50 thanks to the agreement with the Lang Foundation. Private organizations can sponsor the event by purchasing entries for their employees or partners.
